We have an exciting opportunity for a Fiber Network Engineer/Coordinator based in Tucker, GA. This position offers the chance to play a key role in the design, planning, and coordination of a growing middle-mile fiber network supporting critical utility operations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between fiber engineering and network reliability, collaborating closely with both field teams and NOC operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and oversee fiber network infrastructure projects

  • Maintain and update fiber documentation, including GIS and AutoCAD designs

  • Create and manage splice plans and ensure network integrity and reliability

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on testing and implementation

  • Support construction and maintenance activities for OSP/ISP fiber systems

  • Perform occasional site visits and field testing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems (preferred)

  • 5+ years of network design and GIS experience with fiber optic plant

  • Strong background in AutoCAD, GIS, and fiber design standards

  • UTC Level 1 & 2 Fiber Optic Designer Certification (preferred)

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills

  • Must pass NERC CIP personnel risk assessment

Details:

  • Location: Tucker, GA (100% in-office)

  • Pay Rate: $45–$55/hour (approx. $95K–$115K/year, depending on experience)

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (some flexibility)

  • Assignment: 12-month minimum (potential for long-term extension)
