Haul various pipe materials (steel, copper, pvc - bathroom/plumbing fixtures) on flatbed trailers throughout the Southeast and Midwest
DC location will have a full time tarper, typically loads will be strapped and tarped upon arrival at the shipper
Certain circumstances could require driver to strap and tarp the load prior to departure from shipper
Tarps are upwards of 80lbs (if not heavier in inclement weather) and the drivers MUST be able to lift and be able to climb up on the deck of a trailer with Cargo on them.
Drivers are responsible for ensuring load securement while driving
Due to the nature of freight and longer length of haul this fleet will haul loads to these states, IA, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, ND, OH, SD, WI and WV
As part of this elite group of professional drivers you will receive 3 polo shirts with Werner and the Customer logo on it
We have onsite Transportation Managers who are available throughout the week to assist in all aspects of Dispatch
