We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead federal construction projects in the Toms River, NJ area, with a strong focus on federal construction work. This role requires hands-on field leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with strict federal and military standards.

Description
- Oversee all on-site construction activities for federal and military projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage subcontractors, field staff, and daily site operations to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety standards and federal regulations, including EM 385 and DoD-specific requirements
- Coordinate closely with project managers, government representatives, and inspectors to maintain communication and project alignment
- Lead project documentation including daily reports, RFIs, submittals, and change orders using Procore or similar project management software
- Maintain project quality control standards in accordance with USACE and other federal agency guidelines
- Enforce site safety protocols, conduct regular safety meetings, and proactively mitigate risks
- Oversee logistics, site coordination, and material deliveries to ensure efficient workflow
- Support project closeout processes, including punch lists, inspections, and turnover documentation

Profile
A successful Federal Construction Superintendent should have:
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in federal construction environments
- Federal Background: Proven experience working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Navy, or other DoD agencies is required
- Project Expertise: Experience managing ground-up and renovation projects, ideally within secure or mission-critical environments
- Certifications: OSHA 30 certification required
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, RMS, MS Project, or similar platforms
- Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of federal construction regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead field teams, coordinate multiple trades, and drive project performance
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and access to military installations is strongly preferred
- Work Ethic: Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working in highly structured and regulated environments
