We are seeking an experienced Federal Superintendent to lead on-site construction efforts for a high-security SCIF renovation project in Lakewood, NJ. This role requires a hands-on leader with Department of Defense (DoD) project experience who can manage complex federal construction contracts while ensuring compliance with strict security and safety standards.

Description

  • Site Supervision: Oversee all on-site construction activities for a SCIF renovation project within a larger $50M federal contract
  • Schedule Management: Manage day-to-day field operations, subcontractors, and scheduling to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget
  • Quality Control: Coordinate with project managers, government stakeholders, and inspectors to maintain compliance and quality control
  • Safety Compliance: Oversee safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards (OSHA 30 required)
  • Documentation: Manage contracts ranging from $500K to $15M+, ensuring proper execution and documentation
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to field teams to ensure operational excellence

Profile

  • 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent, preferably on federal construction projects
  • Direct experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Navy, or other DoD agencies required
  • Experience working on SCIF projects strongly preferred
  • Background in occupied hospital renovations or similarly sensitive environments is highly desirable
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general construction, including renovation, ground-up construction, and site development
  • Proficiency in construction/project management software (RMS, Procore, P6, MS Project, etc.)
  • OSHA 30 certification (minimum requirement)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance or higher (DISCO)
  • Eligible for access to military installations and able to pass full background screening
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex, secure environments
