JOB SUMMARY

To provide shift meals to WRC employees, maintain accountability for products served, and maintain the employee café in a clean, organized manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
  • Set up for, prepare, serve, and clean up specified shift meals for WRC employees.
  • Responsible for food preparation, presentation, and quantity control measures of shift.
  • Ensure that all food items are handled and maintained according to general safety and sanitation codes.
  • Follow menu plans and food preparation recipes, as outlined by F&B management.
  • Maintain a timely meal schedule-having food stuff ready and replenished during meal periods.
  • Replenish and maintain supplies, condiments, and amenities before/after meals, and as needed.
  • Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
  • Share recommendations with the supervisor, to improve operations, menu ideas, concerns, etc.
  • Monitor and track employee meals served, ensuring policy standards are identified by management.
  • Handle routine employee complaints and direct serious issues to the supervisor.
  • Store food items appropriately, correctly labeling, rotating, and under proper temperature controls.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized cafe-wiping down counters, tables, food trays, storage, and supply units.
  • Sweep and mop floors after each meal period.
  • Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.

16 Participate and attend designated meetings, training, activities, etc., as directed.

  • Other related functions as directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Six (6) months of food service experience.
  • Effective communication skills - verbally able to provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities. Must be able to read and follow written menus, recipes, and safety procedures.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work various days, shifts, and holidays.
  • Possess food handler's certification or obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Needs to be able to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and maneuver up to 50 lbs., work under varying temperatures, and handle cleaning chemicals.
  • Excellent personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Requires a criminal background check clearance.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
