JOB SUMMARY
To provide shift meals to WRC employees, maintain accountability for products served, and maintain the employee café in a clean, organized manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
- Set up for, prepare, serve, and clean up specified shift meals for WRC employees.
- Responsible for food preparation, presentation, and quantity control measures of shift.
- Ensure that all food items are handled and maintained according to general safety and sanitation codes.
- Follow menu plans and food preparation recipes, as outlined by F&B management.
- Maintain a timely meal schedule-having food stuff ready and replenished during meal periods.
- Replenish and maintain supplies, condiments, and amenities before/after meals, and as needed.
- Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
- Share recommendations with the supervisor, to improve operations, menu ideas, concerns, etc.
- Monitor and track employee meals served, ensuring policy standards are identified by management.
- Handle routine employee complaints and direct serious issues to the supervisor.
- Store food items appropriately, correctly labeling, rotating, and under proper temperature controls.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized cafe-wiping down counters, tables, food trays, storage, and supply units.
- Sweep and mop floors after each meal period.
- Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
16 Participate and attend designated meetings, training, activities, etc., as directed.
- Other related functions as directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Six (6) months of food service experience.
- Effective communication skills - verbally able to provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities. Must be able to read and follow written menus, recipes, and safety procedures.
- Flexible schedule and ability to work various days, shifts, and holidays.
- Possess food handler’s certification or obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Needs to be able to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and maneuver up to 50 lbs., work under varying temperatures, and handle cleaning chemicals.
- Excellent personal hygiene and appearance.
- Requires a criminal background check clearance.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
