Job Summary: -Evaluate and manage patients with low- to moderate-acuity conditions
Perform focused histories and physical examinations
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
Perform common procedures (e.g., suturing, abscess drainage, splinting)
Initiate appropriate treatment plans and prescribe medications
Ensure timely disposition (discharge or escalation of care)
Document all patient care accurately in the EMR
Collaborate with ED physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment at time of hire (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master''s Degree) (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA). Initial certification must be present at time of hire. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
DEA certification (or ability to obtain)
Strong clinical decision-making and multitasking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred (Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or Primary Care) - / WILLING TO TRAIN A NEW GRADUATE
Prior experience in Emergency Department Fast Track or Urgent Care
Proficiency in minor procedures and rapid patient turnover
Comfort with high-volume environments and multitasking
Work Days:
12 hour shifts
