25.00 - 30.00 USD Per Hour

Working Location:

Working Hours/Shift:

What you bring to SBHG:

Experience:

  • Associate of Arts degree in child counseling, development or psychology, social services or vocational counseling or related social science field plus at least (2) years of experience working in a behavioral health field

OR

  • Bachelor's degree in child counseling, development or psychology, social services or vocational counseling or related social science field plus at least (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health field

Licensure & Compliance:

  • A valid California Driver's License and eligibility to meet agency driving criteria.

How you will make a difference:

The Family Specialist has the primary responsibility for providing support services to youth and families, including rehabilitation, behavior management, skill development, school support, crisis intervention, and coordination of care. Assists with assessing family strengths and needs, monitors progress toward treatment goals, and collaborates with the care team to ensure appropriate services are provided. Maintains timely and accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), facilitates Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings as needed, and travels to homes, schools, and community locations to provide services. May also transport clients and family members as required.

Division/Program Overview:

  • Population Served (Capacity): Serving ages (0-18)
  • Facility & Setting: Outpatient community-based services and support. Delivers client services throughout Stanislaus County within designated county limits. May be required to transport clients/client family members utilizing personal vehicle.
  • Clinical Services (Core): Individual and family counseling
  • Skills & Services: After-School Groups/ Activities and Crisis intervention services
  • Role specific Benefits & Reimbursements: Mileage reimbursement included at a rate of $0.85 per mile and Monthly stipend included (Cell phone / Internet)
