Position Overview


The position involves providing full scope of primary care services including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care and health maintenance for patients of all ages, focusing on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and overall wellness.


Responsibilities


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Obtain health history and perform physical examinations; Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment; Prescribe medication in accordance with California statute and professional practice guidelines; Perform minor surgical procedures; Arrange referral for patients requiring services not offered at Anphon Medical Center; Review incoming reports (e.g. lab, x-ray, EKG, hospital and specialties reports etc.) sign, date and follow-up in a timely manner; Participate in utilization review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings; Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.


Qualifications


  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Valid state medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
