What You’ll Do:
- Provide comprehensive urgent and emergency care to adult and pediatric patients (6 months and up)
- Manage a high volume of diverse cases including minor procedures like I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigations
- Use EPIC EMR effectively for documentation and patient management
- Work independently as the sole provider at the center, ensuring continuous, quality care
- Collaborate with a dedicated support staff including center managers, medical assistants, and support personnel, all within a positive, team-oriented atmosphere
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 12 months of clinical experience in urgent or emergency care settings
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR systems
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Physician Assistant (PA), or Nurse Practitioner (NP), with current board certification (BC, NCCPA, NP Boards)
- Valid BLS and NC DEA licenses
- Ability to handle high patient volumes while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude
- Strong communication and soft skills for effective interaction with patients and staff
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with pediatric care and minor procedures in urgent settings
- Prior experience working as the sole provider in a high-volume clinic
- Additional certifications in advanced procedures or pediatric care
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program
- At least 12 months of recent urgent care or emergency medicine experience
- Current, active licensure and certification in North Carolina and required procedures
Other Requirements:
- Local candidates only; must be able to work full-time hours, including summer months
- Must be able to commute within a 60-mile radius of residence (reimbursement up to 60 miles)
- Participation in scheduled EMR training sessions on specified Wednesdays
- Willingness to provide all credentialing documentation prior to onboarding
- No travel or lodging reimbursements; focus on local support within the designated radius
