Compensation: Performance-Based | Typical Physician Earnings: $250,000–$400,000+ annually
Role Summary
Our client, a well-established physician-led, multi-specialty medical group, is seeking a Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join its growing outpatient practice. This opportunity offers physicians the autonomy to build and manage their own patient panel while benefiting from the resources and administrative support of a collaborative multi-specialty organization.
The practice provides a flexible, independent practice model that allows physicians to focus on delivering high-quality patient care without the administrative burden of operating a traditional private practice. This position is ideal for experienced physicians with an established local patient base who are seeking long-term practice growth and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services to adult and pediatric patients
- Perform patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order, interpret, and review laboratory and diagnostic testing
- Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate ongoing patient care
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and wellness strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Collaborate with specialists and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Provide clinical oversight and guidance to nursing and clinical support staff
- Maintain compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, quality standards, and payer requirements
- Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives
- Build and maintain a sustainable patient panel to support long-term practice growth
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- Active New York medical license or ability to obtain licensure prior to employment
- Prior clinical experience in Family Medicine
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary practice
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in growing and managing a successful outpatient practice
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a local patient base is highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Established patient following within the local market
- Experience working in outpatient private practice or physician-owned practice settings
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and value-based care initiatives
- Interest in long-term practice growth and leadership opportunities

Compensation
Compensation is based on collections and productivity.
- Physicians receive approximately 30% of professional services billed
- Typical physician earnings range from $250,000 to $400,000+ annually, with significant upside based on patient volume and practice growth
