    Description

    Position Summary
    A small, established Florida family law firm (3 attorneys) is seeking a skilled and dependable Family Law Paralegal. This is a key role with direct responsibility for case management, drafting, and client communication in a fast-paced but supportive environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Draft pleadings and correspondence in accordance with the FL Family Law Rules of Procedure
    • Prepare and review Family Law Financial Affidavits (Short & Long Form)
    • Draft and respond to mandatory disclosure and discovery
    • Assist with preparation of Parenting Plans and child support guidelines worksheets
    • Calculate deadlines and manage court calendars in compliance with Florida rules
    • E-file pleadings through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal
    • Coordinate hearings, mediations, and depositions
    • Organize exhibits and assist attorneys with trial preparation
    • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and judicial assistants

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2+ years of Florida family law experience preferred
    • Strong familiarity with Florida family law procedures and local court practices
    • Experience with financial affidavits, mandatory disclosure, and discovery
    • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
    • Experience with Mac OS, MyCase, and Divorce Power Analyzer is a plus

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience preparing child support calculations
    • Familiarity with mediation procedures and trial prep in Florida family courts
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
