We have a wonderful, structured family looking for a dependable and engaging babysitter. This is a great opportunity for someone energetic, organized, and passionate about early childhood development in a unique home environment.
Child:
- 1 child: 2.5-year-old boy (social, active, learning-focused)
Schedule:
- Currently: Monday & Wednesday
- Long-term: Flexible 2–3 days/week, 8-hour shifts
- Current nanny available for a smooth transition
Location: Cooper City (across from Cooper City High School)
Pay: TBD
Requirements:
- Young, energetic, and outgoing personality
- CPR certification (must be current)
- Very comfortable around farm animals (horses, pigs, chickens, dogs, etc.)
- Patient, nurturing, and highly engaged
- Strong communication, transparency, and reliability
Ideal Qualities:
- Loves nature, animals, and spending significant time outdoors
- Energetic, playful, creative, and highly interactive with toddlers
- Enjoys arts & crafts, sensory play, music, movement, and imaginative play
- Comfortable living and working in a farm environment
- Warm, nurturing, patient, and engaging personality
- Values hands-on learning and minimal/no screen time
- Naturally silly, active, and excited to participate in a toddler’s daily adventures
- Proactive, attentive, and genuinely enjoys child-led exploration and play
- Strong family-oriented mindset and interested in becoming part of the family dynamic
Responsibilities:
- Engage toddler in enriching, hands-on daily activities
- Plan and participate in outdoor play, farm exploration, and nature-based activities
- Encourage creativity through arts & crafts, sensory activities, reading, music, and movement
- Support active, screen-free play and development
- Assist with maintaining a structured yet playful daily routine
- Foster a safe, nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment
- Participate in animal interaction and outdoor activities as part of daily life
- Support developmental learning through interactive play and exploration
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding child’s activities and development
Role Details:
- No driving or travel required (all care at home)
- No cooking needed (meals are pre-made)
- No TV policy (focus on engaging, hands-on play)
Daily Routine:
- 8:30 AM: Arrival (prep completed by parents)
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM: Shift
- 1:00 PM: Lunch (provided)
- 2:00 PM: Wind-down
- 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Nap
- Responsibilities include child-focused care, tidying toys, washing child’s dishes, and light clean-up (sweep/vacuum if needed)
Environment:
- Very organized home with systems in place
- Farm property with animals (caretakers visit twice daily)
- Walk-through provided during interview process
Expectations:
- Strong, proactive communication
- Immediate updates if any issues arise
- Open and respectful feedback culture
- Caregiver input is welcomed and valued
Extras:
- Occasional date nights (1–2/month, typically Fri/Sat ~6 PM – 1 AM)
- Flexible scheduling depending on nanny availability

- Start: ASAP for interviews and transition/training with current nanny
- Goal: Fully trained by June (current nanny transitioning out mid-June for law school)
