POSITION SUMMARY

The Family Development Coach provides case management, educational and career counseling, and supportive service referrals to adult literacy participants. The position works closely with students to identify goals, develop service plans, improve retention, and support educational success.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide case management and educational/career counseling services.
• Develop and maintain Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
• Assist students in identifying educational and career goals.
• Connect students to supportive services and community resources.
• Support student attendance, retention, and academic achievement.
• Document services and participant progress in the DYCD Participant Tracking System.
• Assist students with technology needed to participate in classes.
• Maintain accurate participant records and case files.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field; OR
• Associate degree with Family Development Training (or DYCD-approved credential); OR
• Three (3) years of case management or counseling experience.
• Experience working with public assistance, housing, education, or child welfare systems.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
