Salary Wage: $17.30 per hour
Position Summary: This positionwill work with families that are currently involved with Family Support Services. They will work to provide community resources, assist with mindshare referrals for formalservice provision. They will provide education and peersupport that addresses propernutrition, hygiene, discipline, protection, instruction and supervision, teach parenting skill development, provide assistance in locating appropriate communityresources, childcare etc. This position should possessskillsand attitudes toward child rearing that are flexible enough to adapt to various situations based upon each family'sdifferences, problems, andneeds. Thisposition will work a flexibleschedule in order to meet the needs of families, which could include weekends and nights as needed.
Technical/Functional Expectations:
1. Crisis Interventions-Essential Function:Providecrisisinterventionlinkages,referralsthrough consultation to ensure family supportandplacementstabilizationinordertofollow-upwith emergency FTCforcontinuedauthorization.
2. Flexible and 3rdParty Resources-EssentialFunction: Authorize service allocation, coordinate servicedeliverywith providers and communityresources in order to maximize service quality.
3. Strength & CulturalDiscovery-Essential Function:ConductsStrength&Culturaldiscoveryto helpfamily identify
strengthsand potentialnaturalsupportsaswellastoidentifyimmediateneeds and and bestresources to address these.
4. Strength Based Advocacy-Essential Function: Thisposition willwork with and supportthefamilyand helpthem advocate for their needs and serveas an advocate for them.
5. Provideeducation and Peer Support-Essential:Thisposition willwork with thefamily in the areas of nutrition,
parenting, budgeting,housing,andmaintainingasafeand appropriatehome.

Business Experience:
1. Microsoft office &SACWIS Computer Experience:Thispositionwillberesponsible forenteringinformationintoFSFN
andMindshareand utilizing basic Microsoft office software.
2. ValidDriver’sLicense& Appropriate insurance-Essential:Thisposition requiresavaliddriverslicenseand appropriate insurance inaccordance with Florida Statute fortransportingchildren.
3. 2+ yearsDirect Services Experience-Essential:This position willbeproviding directservicestochildren, youth or
theirfamiliesin their homeandotherlocationsasdetermined.
4. Superior verbal andwritten communicationskills:Thispositionmusteffectivelycommunicateverballyand inwriting in order toaddress complex needsandsafetyconcernsin astrength-basedapproach.
5. Experienceasaconsumerorcaregiverwithinthe SOC:This is required in order to successfully advocate for families and to provideassistancewith resource linkages.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
1. HighSchool Diploma required.
2. 2 to 5 years related experience required.
3. Knowledge ofearlychildhood development preferred.
