Effectively communicates with families, students, and school staff. Assists homeless students and families in accessing district programs and services. Works as a team member with all school staff to improve homeless students' academic performance, achievement, attendance and/or behaviors. Helps connect homeless families to resources in the school and in the community.ESSENTIAL DUTIESAssist in building connections between parents, schools, and other community agenciesWork closely with administrators, teachers, and parents/guardians to support student success in school, including academic performance, attendance and/or behaviorServe as a resource in the schools to meet the needs of students and their familiesDevelop and maintain effective relationships with staff, parents, and students, and interact in a manner that models intercultural sensitivity and respectServes as a bridge between the schools and families through the development of systems for family outreach partnershipsAssists schools in creating an inclusive environment for all students throughout the School District and in identifying barriers and obstacles to access, inclusion and belongingThrough partnership with district leaders and the community, will work toward the following goals:Increase attendance for identified student groupsIncrease parent involvement in the school communityIncrease graduation rates for identified student groupsRaising the self‑concept of identified studentsCollaborate with teachers in developing in and out of classroom learning experiencesEnthusiastically promotes the School Districts goals and priorities in compliance with all policies and proceduresAssist and support students with cultural adjustment and social/emotional development to promote school successEncourage parents to attend and be active in all meetings and empower them to voice their concerns, needs, opinions and prioritiesOther duties as assignedPHYSICAL FACTORSFrequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, and seeingBENEFITSWe offer a comprehensive benefits package for employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
