The mentor would facilitate communication between home and school for all families with a language barrier. This position will provide support to teachers and staff by facilitating conversations using a variety of methods. It will develop and foster relationships between teachers and families in order to connect, grow, and learn.

Mentor Responsibilities:
Make contact with new families within the community after enrollment.
Connect families with resources within the school district and community.
Establish effective communication between home and school.
Be able to utilize translation services in order to communicate with families and respond within 24 hours.
Educate teachers and staff about cultural differences
Collaborate with English Language Teacher weekly
