POSITION SUMMARY

The selected intern works in direct support of the International Center’s Senior Vice President of Operations & Chief of Staff and Leadership Team, and is involved in general business activities, program deliveries, human resources tasks, and organizational projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and analyze information, prepare, and present findings to supervisor and staff
  • Participate in operations, human resources, program, and service delivery processes
  • Manage organizational projects
  • Attend accounting and development meetings
  • Coordinate outreach events for prospective interns, advisors, and partners

DESIRED LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Understanding U.S. and international business and cultural diversities
  • Understanding non-profit administration, business development, revenue management, program management, client service delivery, and Board governance
  • Understanding human resources operations including recruitment and onboarding

PAY & SCHEDULE

  • $15/hour, plus $80 monthly parking stipend
  • The Center’s office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
  • Interns work an average of 20 hours per week during the fall and spring terms, and an average of 30 hours per week during the summer term
  • Hybrid work possible, based on project needs and availability
