Job Overview

Our organization is on the lookout for a Medical Dermatologist to enhance our Dermatology practice located in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area. The ideal candidate should have completed a residency in Dermatology accredited by ACGME and must be board eligible or certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

The Department of Dermatology is dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care, engaging in innovative research, and educating the future leaders in dermatology. Each year, we train three fellows (in Dermatologic Surgery, Pediatric Dermatology, and Clinical Research) along with 22 residents (10 in Medical Dermatology and 12 in the Categorical program).

We pride ourselves on our globally recognized clinical programs and groundbreaking clinical trials, with a commitment to advancing dermatological care for both present and future generations.

Under the leadership of Dr. Robert Dellavalle, our Department Head, we have a team of 17 full-time faculty members, along with several adjunct and volunteer faculty, covering all dermatological subspecialties.

Practice Details

This is a full-time role, with the rank determined by the applicant's experience within the department's Academic Track.

  • Location: Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area.
  • Clinical Focus: General dermatology and a dermatology subspecialty.
  • Research Background: Experience in dermatology-related research, including clinical studies, education, medical dermatology, dermatoepidemiology, or other relevant areas is highly preferred.
  • Openings: 1.0 FTE (Full Time)

Qualifications
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited Dermatology residency or an Internal Medicine/Dermatology residency.
  • Board eligible or certified in Dermatology.
  • Possession or ability to obtain a Minnesota Board of Medical Practice License.
  • Capability to secure and maintain DEA certification in Minnesota.
  • Meet the necessary criteria for Credentialing and Privileges.
  • Applicants may specialize in general dermatology or a combination of general dermatology and a subspecialty such as pediatric dermatology or cosmetic dermatology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with colleagues and staff.
  • Commitment to patient care and service.
  • Detail-oriented and self-driven.
  • Focus on education and innovative problem-solving.
  • Willingness to lead the development of new practice sites in partnership with the core University site.

Pay and Benefits

This position is jointly employed by our organization and affiliated medical professionals. The salary at our organization is based on the academic contributions of the individual hired, starting at $58,000. Clinical compensation, aligned with clinical responsibilities, is provided through our affiliated medical professionals. The total salary is projected to be around $417,523, competitive with market standards and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
