JOB SUMMARY
SEU's Nursing department is seeking to fill three (3) Nursing Faculty positions in various specializations. We are seeking passionate nursing educators to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals within a vibrant, Christ-centered academic community that integrates faith with purpose-driven work. The Faculty Nursing position is a full-time, 12-month teaching position requiring a teaching load of 27 hours per academic year. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the faculty member will serve on committees and fulfill additional functions, as assigned by the chief nurse administrator. Teaching will primarily consist of the instruction for the BSN program. However, teaching for the ADN program may also be required. Faculty rank is commensurate with education and level of nursing education experience.

EDUCATION
Required Education:
Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Education:
Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Required: Unencumbered State FL RN License
EXPERIENCE
Required:
A minimum of 5 years professional nursing experience in the field as an RN is required.
Preferred:
Medical Surgical Experience
Critical Care Experience
A minimum of 2 years nursing education experience is preferred.

TRAINING
All new hires and employees transferring into a new position will have a 90-day probationary period within which to learn the functions of the job and to be evaluated. Following the probationary period, the employee can transition to regular status, have the probationary period extended in order to receive more training, or employment can be terminated. All full-time positions at SEU are deemed security-sensitive and require background checks. Employees required to drive their own personal vehicle, a rental car or an SEU vehicle in performance of their duties must pass an MVR records check and meet the requirements of the University's insurance carrier in order to meet the requirements of the position.
