Student-focused, East Georgia State College (EGSC) - a state college offering two-year degrees and targeted bachelor degrees - provides affordable access to quality higher education, enabling all students to achieve their academic goals with minimum delay and expense. EGSC¿s specialized attentiveness effectively supports a wide range of academic abilities and preparation levels. Students can pursue associates degrees, targeted bachelors degrees and transfer paths to other institutions. EGSCs most recent prominence is in being among the first and few University System of Georgia institutions approved to award associate degrees with disciplinary distinction, which provides students a foundation of courses in a specific major, rather than just the core curriculum. EGSC has three convenient campus locations: EGSC Swainsboro (main campus) and EGSC Statesboro are near I-16 East. EGSC Augusta is near I-20 East.
Job Summary
The full-time mathematics faculty member will teach mathematics classes within the Department of Mathematical Sciences on the Georgia Southern University - East Georgia Campus. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face-to-face and online formats. Travel between campus locations may be necessary.
Required Qualifications
Earned Masters degree (or higher) in Mathematics or closely related field with at least eighteen graduate-level semester credit hours of specific work in Mathematics required. Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives. Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development. Demonstrated commitment to teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
Successful college teaching experience is desirable. Ability to teach face-to-face and online courses.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of college policies and procedures. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs. Skill in the provision of customer services. Skill in oral and written communication.

Conditions of Employment
