Factory Production and Continuous Improvement Manager

Are you energized by turning strategy into measurable results on the plant floor? Do you instinctively see waste and know how to coach teams toward better flow, safer work, and higher quality? If so, this role gives you the scope to lead people, processes, and performance across an entire site.

Your mission

Lead a high-performing manufacturing operation where safety is non-negotiable, standard work is a habit, and continuous improvement never stops. You will connect corporate and regional direction to plant-level objectives, use data and technology to lift KPIs, and build an engaged workforce that delivers for customers and the community.

How you will make an impact

  • Set the tone for a safety-first culture and maintain compliance with regulatory, environmental, and corporate standards.
  • Move the needles on safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and employee retention.
  • Apply Lean principles and data-driven problem solving to remove waste and increase operational efficiency.
  • Institutionalize discipline and accountability through standardized processes and consistent work practices.
  • Plan staffing, succession, and talent development across all shifts to meet demand and grow future leaders.
  • Coach and mentor frontline leaders to improve decisions and strengthen team performance.
  • Drive employee engagement that supports our culture, reduces turnover, elevates morale, and sustains productivity.
  • Deploy strategy by translating corporate and regional plans into plant targets, using technology, data, and CI tools to achieve safe, sustained KPI gains.
  • Ensure accurate inventory, effective materials management, and precise fulfillment to meet production goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Own the operational budget, adapting it as business needs and market conditions change.
  • Partner closely with EHS, Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to synchronize plans, schedules, and priorities.
  • Share plant performance openly with employees, peers, and leadership to build transparency and shared accountability.
  • Support regional and enterprise initiatives that advance manufacturing excellence and align with corporate priorities.
  • Represent the plant in the community by engaging with local organizations, schools, and events to strengthen our brand and employer reputation.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree or substantial manufacturing and management experience.
  • 10+ years of managerial experience in a production environment.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Operational strength with Lean business practice expertise.
  • Ability to drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience leading and collaborating with diverse teams.

Skills

  • Leadership and interpersonal savvy.
  • Operational and organizational capability.
  • Lean and continuous improvement orientation.
  • Coaching and team development.
  • Clear, consistent communication.

Physical and travel

  • Regular activities include sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and moving around the facility.
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 25 lbs.
  • Travel approximately 10%.
