Wake County General Services is seeking a Facility Systems Supervisor for the Safety and Security Division. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain and program physical security systems across corporate and detention security infrastructures. The maintained systems include access control, video management, intrusion detection, intercoms, key management, and security management systems. Additional responsibilities will include overseeing contract management for electronic security maintenance agreements, project management for security system initiatives, and the administration of locks and hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the maintenance and upgrading of physical security systems to ensure they meet Wake County''s operational requirements. Assess and implement system enhancements, supervise performance and activities, and address hardware and software issues as necessary.
Provide oversight and leadership to a team of Physical Security specialists, including the Facility Systems Engineer, Physical Security Project Manager, and Locksmith.
Develop an in-depth understanding of Physical Security systems and end user protocols to provide both proactive and reactive support in a timely manner.
Oversee corporate and detention security maintenance contracts by facilitating work order creation, prioritization, and tracking; maintaining comprehensive inventory records; and managing billing and invoicing processes.
Proactively plan, develop, evaluate, and execute software and hardware upgrades, including version updates for electronic security systems. Coordinate with vendors regarding programming and troubleshooting during new installations. Serve as an intermediary between vendors, departments, teams, and users to facilitate timely and efficient project completion.
Oversee physical security initiatives related to new construction, renovation, and enhancement projects.
Supervise Locksmith operations to ensure access control compliance with Wake County policies. Responsibilities encompass corrective and preventive maintenance of locks and hardware, key production, master key system management, and coordination of additions related to construction or renovations.
