The Office of Juvenile Affairs (OJA) is searching for a Facility Program Coordinator to direct programs and evaluate services at Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center in Tecumseh, OK. The position will be responsible for resolving issues related to the daily operation of the facility. This is an opportunity to identify areas needing improvement and recommend changes that will affect at-risk youth.
Basic Purpose
Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving the planning, development, direction and implementation of programs for the education, treatment, training, care, custody, social rehabilitation or development of youths or adults in a state school, children’s center, institution or facility, or for the quality assurance programs for an institution or agency providing health care and related services. Employees are assigned overall responsibility for a program or department, including developing policies and procedures and performing evaluation of services.

Compensation
Education and Experience:
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in public health administration, social work, nursing, guidance and counseling, or a closely related field, or working with children or adults in a treatment residential facility, or school setting for disabled individuals, including two years in a supervisory capacity; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of the qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
Note: There is no substitution allowed for the required two years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The Office of Juvenile Affairs has determined positions in this job family to be safety sensitive as defined by 63 O.S. § 427.8. Must be able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with the position. Must be willing to be subject to call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
