We are seeking a Wastewater Supervisor for our East Chicago, IN location who is compliance-focused and technically experienced. This leader will oversee a team of hourly wastewater operators and ensure adherence to all IDEM and EPA regulations. The ideal candidate is licensed, detail-oriented, and committed to operational excellence in a high-priority treatment environment.

- Indiana Class IV Wastewater Operator License (preferred/required depending on experience)
- A Class D License is acceptable; however, candidates must successfully test into a Class IV.
- Candidates with a lesser license but strong relevant experience may also be considered.
- Licensing Requirement:
Candidates hired without a Class IV License must obtain and successfully test into the Class IV Wastewater Operator License within six (6) months of hire or within a reasonable timeframe determined by the business.
- 5-6 years of hands-on wastewater operations experience (industrial or municipal)
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of IDEM, EPA, and Clean Water Act compliance requirements
- Ability to interpret SCADA output and plant operations data (no programming required)
- Effective communication, performance management, and conflict-resolution skills in a union environment
- Computer proficiency (Office 365 and plant compliance systems)
- Willingness to participate in on-call coverage and emergency response
