Facility Operations Manager
Location: Bowie, Maryland

Full-time | Monday–Friday (with after-hours/weekend adaptability)
$65,000 - $75,000/ annually

Schedule
  • Full-time, Monday - Friday
  • Primarily week-days, with the willingness and ability to respond to emergency phone calls, texts, or vendors after hours and on weekends/holidays when needed.
Facility Operations Manager Responsibilities
  • Oversee hospital and facility maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects
  • Manage preventive maintenance and repairs for medical and office equipment
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Oversee IT, security systems, and building infrastructure
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and lead hospital safety training and annual updates
  • Manage maintenance contracts, equipment purchases, and vendor accounts
  • Process and approve invoices and support accounts payable functions
  • Monitor facility needs and prioritize repairs
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to improve operations and maintain regulatory compliance
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of facility management or operations experience
  • Veterinary hospital experience and equipment knowledge strongly preferred
  • Experience with OSHA compliance and workplace safety programs
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Oracle or veterinary practice management software is a plus
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary leadership team
  • Willingness to respond to occasional after-hours facility emergencies
