AFO is seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Specialist for a position located in FT. Belvoir, VA area to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)
The General Maintenance Technician will deliver technical and professional services to the client as part of professional services to the client as part of Facilities Operations and Maintenance program.
Responsibilities
+ Moves furniture and office equipment as necessary and performs all office handy person duties (i.e., hanging pictures and bulletin boards, performing small repairs, etc.).
+ Assists during facility reallocations and coordinated maintenance management support requirements.
+ Performs a variety of tasks.
+ Works under general supervision.
+ Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
+ Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment requiring practical skills and knowledge in such trades as Painting, Carpentry, and general assembly.
+ Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls.
+ Paint walls, doors, structures and equipment.
+ Perform minor maintenance on equipment.
+ Responsible for timely reporting of accidents, injuries, and hazardous situations.
+ Perform all other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Must possess a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
+ Highschool Graduate or equivalent
+ Have a valid VA state driver’s license.
+ Knowledge of hand and power tools.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
+ Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
+ Ability to understand and have working knowledge of hazardous, safety, and environmental warnings.
+ General knowledge of all maintenance and construction trades.
+ Must be able to climb ladders scaffolds and walkways.
+ Three Years similar experience.
