What We're Looking For:

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED, required

Experience

  • Two years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar work environment, required

  • Four years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar work environment, preferred

Licensure or Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license, required

Additional Skills (Required)

  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing

  • Ability to apply customer satisfaction standards

  • Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools used in facility maintenance

  • Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority

Additional Skills (Preferred)

  • Broad knowledge of principles in the design, operation, and repair of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment

  • Broad knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, fire codes, and The Joint Commission Environment of Care standards

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics

What You'll Do:
  • Perform intermediate-level maintenance and repair work to maintain the service life of company assets, including:

    • Physical structures

    • HVAC systems

    • Mechanical and utility systems

    • Grounds and exterior systems

  • Support a safe, compliant, and fully operational healthcare environment

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete assigned work safely and effectively

  • Respond to service requests and preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner

  • Follow safety practices, building codes, and Environment of Care standards

  • Apply customer service principles when interacting with patients, visitors, and team members

  • Work collaboratively with Plant Engineering leadership and other departments
