As a Facility Maintenance Technician II, you will perform intermediate-level maintenance work under the direction of Plant Engineering Services leadership, helping maintain the service life of our facilities and systems while supporting exceptional patient care.

Education
High School Diploma or GED, required
Experience
Two years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar work environment, required
Four years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a healthcare facility or similar work environment, preferred
Licensure or Certifications
Valid driver’s license, required
Additional Skills (Required)
Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
Ability to apply customer satisfaction standards
Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of hand and power tools used in facility maintenance
Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority
Additional Skills (Preferred)
Broad knowledge of principles in the design, operation, and repair of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment
Broad knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, fire codes, and The Joint Commission Environment of Care standards
Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics
Perform intermediate-level maintenance and repair work to maintain the service life of company assets, including:
Physical structures
HVAC systems
Mechanical and utility systems
Grounds and exterior systems
Support a safe, compliant, and fully operational healthcare environment
Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete assigned work safely and effectively
Respond to service requests and preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner
Follow safety practices, building codes, and Environment of Care standards
Apply customer service principles when interacting with patients, visitors, and team members
Work collaboratively with Plant Engineering leadership and other departments
