What We're Looking For:
Education
- High school diploma or GED (required)
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment (required)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a healthcare facility or similar environment (preferred)
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) (preferred)
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic with a dependable, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and respond to assigned preventive maintenance tasks (PMs)
- Comfortable working in occupied spaces, interacting professionally with patients, visitors, and clinical staff
- Ability to complete required skills validation and competency testing
- Working knowledge and safe use of a variety of hand and power tools used in facility maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to apply customer service and satisfaction standards in a healthcare setting
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and levels of authority
Preferred Skills
- Broad knowledge of the design, operation, and repair of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret building system drawings and schematics
- Understanding of healthcare infection prevention practices related to maintenance activities
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and waste procedures in maintenance environments
What You'll Do:
- Perform advanced-level maintenance and repair work as assigned by Plant Engineering Services leadership
- Maintain the service life of company assets including physical structures, HVAC, mechanical systems, utilities, and grounds
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex facility issues with minimal supervision
- Respond to and complete preventive maintenance tasks and corrective work orders (PMs)
- Work safely and professionally in occupied healthcare environments, interacting with patients, visitors, and clinical team members
- Ensure all work meets safety, regulatory, and customer satisfaction standards
- Document work performed and support facility compliance requirements
