Facility Maintenance Technician

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical school certification or maintenance-related training preferred.
Minimum 2 years of facility maintenance, building maintenance, or handyman experience.
Knowledge of:
Electrical systems
Plumbing systems
HVAC systems
General building maintenance
Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
Basic computer skills for work order tracking and reporting.
Good communication and customer service skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repair of facility systems, including:
Lighting fixtures and bulbs
Electrical outlets and switches
Plumbing systems, pipes, faucets, sinks, and toilets
HVAC equipment and air conditioning systems
Doors, locks, windows, and office furniture
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from employees and departments.
Conduct regular inspections of buildings, offices, production areas, break rooms, and restrooms.
Troubleshoot facility issues and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when necessary.
Perform basic carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks.
Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and repair reports.
Support facility improvement and renovation projects.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Assist with emergency repairs and after-hours facility support when needed.
Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
