POSITION SUMMARY The Facility Maintenance Mechanic will assist the Facility Maintenance Manager with the daily upkeep of the facilitys equipment. This position has a special emphasis on technology computerized systems safety equipment kitchen equipment and sporting equipment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Repairs all maintenance equipment according to the specifications and highest professional standards particular to each item
Inspects diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects
Works with sharpening blades reels and bed-knifes disassembles motors and performs general overhauling grinds valves repairs transmissions differentials carburetors distributors fuel pumps steering systems starters generators universal joints hydraulic systems high pressured pumps and valves install breaks batteries tires wiring and glass and welding work
Checks machines on a daily basis to ensure each machine is ready to go the next day
Assists in creating implementing and overseeing safety rules for equipment operators and general team members
Implements preventive maintenance programs and care for all equipment and maintain accurate records
Notifies Facility Manager of any equipment misuse
Keeps accurate inventory of all parts and other valuable items of equipment in the maintenance building
Maintains cleanliness of the maintenance building
All additional duties assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights weekends and holidays
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume fast-paced environment
Must have experience working with sports facilities and associated grounds and equipment
General knowledge of maintenance janitorial & landscaping
Must be able to obtain CPRFirst Aid certifications within a specific time period
Must be detail-oriented
Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes guests visitors spectators leaders and fellow Team Members
Must work well with others
Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facility
Committed to the safety and well-being of others
Possess or ability to obtain a valid Drivers License
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to lift large amounts of weight sometimes as much as 50 pounds
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Work with paint cleaning equipment chemical compounds solvents cleaners and solutions in dry liquid powder spray and aerosol forms
Ability to paint clean equipment and operate motorized equipment as needed
Work in conditions that will create dirt and dust
