Job Responsibilities
As the Facility Maintenance Manager, you will lead facility maintenance initiatives, manage people and vendors, and execute facility projects to maintain and improve the overall facility and grounds. Lead and oversee personnel, buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure effective sustainment and preventative maintenance.
Hire, develop, coach, and retain maintenance personnel aligned with current and future business needs
Coordinate, monitor and repair to ensure safe, efficient operation of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Inspect facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards
Plan, manage, and execute facility-related construction and maintenance projects
Prepare and manage maintenance projects to minimize operational disruption
Negotiate contracts with service providers, subcontractors, and vendors
Foster relationships and motivate suppliers and contractors to deliver high-quality work at competitive costs
Lead initiatives that improve employee safety, environmental conditions, quality, delivery, and cost
Drive timely closure of corrective and preventative actions
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors on technical and operational issues
Align facility projects and activities with organizational goals and expectations
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of related experience
Experience managing contractors, vendors, and supporting labor in a large facility or manufacturing environment
Proven leadership experience managing a small team and working cross-functionally
General construction knowledge, including electrical, structural, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Kentucky General Contractor's License and familiarity with industrial building codes preferred
