Overview
Kemin is currently hiring for a Facilities Utility Technician at our Des Moines, Iowa campus. Under general guidance, this role will be responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of campus facility equipment essential to building operations including, HVAC, boilers, chillers, fans, etc. This position will ensure all systems run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. This position will also support leadership in the management of contractors. The ideal candidate would be available for on call emergency.

Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the HVAC industry
Ability to service & repair 25-Ton+equipment including RTUs, Splits, Chillers, VRF, Boilers.
Have completed advanced training beyond high school that includes the completion of some technical training.
Strong knowledge of boiler systems, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
Advanced knowledge of applicable codes/regulations pertaining to assigned equipment and operations.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Ability to interact well with others in a team environment.
Good written and oral communication skills. Basic understanding of English, both written and oral.
Advanced computer skills (e.g., software, building automation and Microsoft Office).
