Facility Technician I
Location: Riverside, CA
Pay Range: $21.00 - $25.00/hr.  
Schedule: 1st shift   

Position Summary
The Facility Technician I is responsible for performing routine facility maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general upkeep of company buildings, grounds, and supporting infrastructure. This position supports safe and efficient operations by maintaining facility systems, responding to maintenance requests, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with company policies, safety requirements, and Cal-OSHA regulations.

The Facility Technician I works closely with production, maintenance, EHS, and management teams to support a clean, safe, and operational manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general facility repairs including doors, walls, floors, lighting, plumbing, and building fixtures.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facility equipment and building systems.
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Respond to facility work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with repairs and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and HVAC systems under supervision.
  • Maintain facility grounds including walkways, fencing, gates, parking areas, and outdoor workspaces.
  • Support installation, relocation, and assembly of office and production equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in maintenance shops, storage areas, and assigned work locations.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions, facility deficiencies, and maintenance concerns.
  • Follow all Lockout/Tagout, PPE, Hot Work, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in safe working condition.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and daily communications.
  • Maintain verbal and written communication with supervisors regarding project status, repairs, and operational concerns.
  • Accurately document completed work orders, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Support emergency facility repairs as needed.
  • Assist contractors and vendors performing work on company property.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Basic knowledge of facility maintenance practices and repair techniques.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and safe work practices.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, procedures, and work orders.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and maintenance tracking systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Position Requirements:  
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one 1 year of facility maintenance, construction, industrial maintenance, or related experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:     
  • Trade school or vocational training preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
  • Scissor lift and aerial lift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
Work Environment:

This is an onsite position based in Riverside, CA and requires being onsite.
