Overview
A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor (2nd Shift) to lead maintenance operations across production, facilities, and utility systems.
This role is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient maintenance execution in a GMP-regulated environment, while driving equipment reliability, team performance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and lead maintenance technicians and utility operators, fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
- Drive employee performance through coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management
- Promote high morale and maintain effective employee relations
Maintenance Operations
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability
- Coordinate, prioritize, and execute maintenance activities during 2nd shift operations
- Ensure maintenance work complies with FDA, cGMP, and internal procedures
- Provide hands-on technical troubleshooting and problem-solving support
Facilities & Utilities
- Ensure reliable operation of critical utilities systems supporting production
- Maintain facility and grounds through planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Coordinate and manage external contractors and service providers as needed
- Support maintenance and plant outages when required
CMMS & Planning
Manage and optimize CMMS (Maximo) including:
Work order assignment, tracking, and closure
Maintenance planning and scheduling
Monitoring open work orders and progress
Drive continuous improvement through maintenance excellence initiatives
Compliance & Safety
- Participate in and support Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs
- Ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations
- Support audits, CAPA activities, and regulatory inspections
Continuous Improvement & Strategy
- Recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and maintenance practices
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and implement reliability and efficiency improvements
- Support or lead engineering and facility-related projects
Financial & Resource Management
- Manage maintenance-related spending including tools, materials, and spare parts
- Support and operate within the annual maintenance budget
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMP, and regulated environments
- Experience with CMMS systems (Maximo preferred)
- Hands-on troubleshooting expertise:
- PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- DCS systems (Foxboro preferred)

- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
Full company benefits - 20 days of PTO and 13 holidays.
Workplace Type
