Trident catches and processes virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. The global supply chain also encompasses cultured and wild species sourced from an international network of trusted suppliers.

Summary:

The Facilities and Refrigeration Maintenance Planner estimates, plans, and schedules all maintenance activities including the coordination of preventative maintenance. Processes and prioritizes work orders, examines, and determines best approach for work order completion, including obtaining necessary schematics and checking parts availability. This position is responsible for Refrigeration and Facilities inventory and preventive maintenance systems. In addition, this position will initiate requisitions. Acts as a liaison between the production, engineering and maintenance groups and maintains records for analysis.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports the Maintenance Excellence strategy and Total Productive Maintenance roadmap by improving Maintenance Mechanic efficiency

  • Creates and manages preventative maintenance checklists

  • Ensures equipment lists and functional locations are accurate

  • Manages and reports against standardized Maintenance Excellence KPI's such as cost and performance across functional location

  • Conducts data analysis to identify improvement opportunities

  • Ensures standardization and proper utilization of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system

  • Utilizes EAM system to reduce inventory and maintenance costs

  • Develops processes to maintain optimal inventory of critical spare parts

  • Develops and execute strategies to eliminate equipment failures and prevent reoccurrence

  • Optimizes time and costs required for preventative maintenance

  • Prioritize workflow of equipment through the repair process

  • Actively participates in execution of the daily plan by ensuring the right equipment is identified for preventative/setup work prior to the days run

  • Site leader for the equipment and repair strategic plan

  • Provides training, guidance and coaching to maintenance employees in a consistent and constructive manner

  • Conducts root cause analysis on production equipment and recommend or implement corrective actions

  • Should be able to communicate with Original Equipment Manufacturer as needed

  • Assist in overall stock reduction through while assuring critical spares are in place

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions

  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings

  • Performs other responsibilities and tasks as assigned

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $38 - $45 per hour.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Four (4) or more years in the maintenance field

  • Maintenance experience, planning/scheduling experience and/or technical degree

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Excellent communication skills including oral, written and listening

Preferred Education & Experiences:

  • Experience managing parts, PMs and inventory in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably mechanic or electrical background

  • CMMS packages - Infor EAM Preferred

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Must be able to disassemble and reassemble equipment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, machine and process drawings, sketch or redline existing drawings. Demonstrated ability to visualize and communicate the execution of work in-depth knowledge of plant operations and equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and schematics

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of employees and senior management of the organization

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, proven strong work ethic, and follow-through; able to work collaboratively at all levels in the organization

  • Working knowledge of production equipment and systems including maintenance activities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Work Environment:

Work is performed in office environments and manufacturing facility settings that may be loud, wet, cold, or otherwise require personal protective equipment (PPE). The role requires regular interaction with production areas, sanitation activities, warehousing, and processing equipment while following all safety, GMP, and PPE requirements.

Work Ability Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and is regularly required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, or hear.

The employee moves objects regularly up to 10 pounds and frequently up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities and/or defects in food products.
