About the Role:

As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will oversee all facility operations for two critical hospital campuses in Pflugerville and Taylor, Tx. This role is responsible for the comprehensive management of two hospitals and multiple medical clinic buildings. You will be instrumental in managing optimizing operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a dedicated team of facilities professionals. This is a critical leadership position requiring a strategic thinker with strong project management, financial acumen, and exceptional communication skills.

This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee and manage all facets of facilities operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for all occupants.
  • Direct the efficient processing, tracking, and completion of all work orders utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Coordinate and manage all facility repairs and maintenance activities in collaboration with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities based on regular facility inspections and performance analysis.
  • Prepare and manage capital projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop, track, and manage comprehensive operational and capital budgets.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and prepare detailed monthly variance reports.
  • Select and manage third-party vendors and contractors, ensuring high-quality service delivery, adherence to contractual agreements, and efficient invoicing procedures.
  • Review and approve price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects and ongoing operations.
  • Provide formal supervision, leadership, and mentorship to a team of approximately 7 direct reports, including Building Engineers, and Maintenance Technicians.
  • Oversee the recruiting, hiring, training, and professional development of new and existing employees.
  • Establish work schedules, assign tasks, manage daily activities, and implement cross-training programs to enhance team capabilities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and set and track staff and department deadlines.
  • Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with all safety standards, operational protocols, and local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and enforce environmental health and safety procedures for all facilities.
  • Implement quality assurance protocols following regulatory guidelines.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client-facing interactions, fostering positive relationships and ensuring high levels of tenant satisfaction.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication channels with all team members and on-site tenants.
  • Conduct regular meetings with tenants to address concerns, provide operational updates, and ensure alignment.
  • Proactively address and resolve unresolved facility issues, ensuring responsiveness to facility-related needs.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
