About the Role:

Step into a high-impact leadership role where every day brings new challenges and opportunities. As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will be embedded onsite with our client in Victorville, serving as a key partner in the management and operation of a 520,000-square-foot facility that includes both manufacturing and office space.

In this role, you will lead efforts to ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while delivering an exceptional workplace experience for the client and its employees. You'll collaborate closely with client stakeholders, vendors, and maintenance teams to oversee day-to-day operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support the performance of critical building systems and infrastructure.

This position is part of CBRE's Facilities Management function, where you'll play a vital role in managing facility operations, maintenance programs, vendor partnerships, and strategic initiatives that support the client's business objectives and long-term success.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance performed by vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage capital and operating projects.
  • Manage all aspects of budget development, implementation and monitoring.
  • Perform facility inspections, following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
  • Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
  • Provide formal supervision for employee(s). Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence stakeholders to achieve consensus.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be apparent in existing systems and processes.

What You'll Need:

  • Must have proven experience in managing commercial facilities, including overseeing daily operations, coordinating maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and managing vendor relationships
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license may be required. Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Must be comfortable wearing required PPE, including uniforms and gowning when required.
  • The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience in managing and overseeing a budget.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong technical aptitude is required.
  • Possessing a foundational understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems is required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • This role requires strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication, collaboration, and positive client interaction.
  • Skilled in navigating the exchange of sensitive and complex information, setting performance expectations, and resolving issues.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department; experience with managing a team.
  • Strong organizational skills complemented by a keen inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $128,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
