About the Role:

CBRE is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to support a key client at a 1.3 million-square-foot distribution and fulfillment center in the Dayton, Ohio area. This role is responsible for leading facility operations, vendor management, workplace safety, and service delivery across a critical logistics operation. The successful candidate will be a seasoned facilities professional who can confidently lead teams, manage vendors, maintain strong client partnerships, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced industrial environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead day-to-day facilities operations for a 1.3 million-square-foot fulfillment and distribution center.
  • Manage facility and grounds maintenance, janitorial/industrial cleaning services, and third-party security operations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 20+ employees while managing scheduling, training, performance, and time reporting.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure facility reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance.
  • Coordinate building repairs and maintenance activities, including HVAC, fire protection systems, electrical infrastructure, dock doors, roofing, and grounds services.
  • Deliver safety and equipment training, including forklift and pallet jack operation awareness and best practices.
  • Manage approximately 20 vendors and service providers, ensuring performance, quality, and adherence to contractual requirements.
  • Monitor budgets, purchase orders, work orders, and service delivery metrics while maintaining strong cost discipline.
  • Build productive client relationships, communicate project progress, and effectively manage expectations in a demanding operational environment.
  • Drive quality assurance inspections, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions that enhance facility performance.

What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years of facilities management experience, including direct leadership of teams with 20 or more employees.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience and education combinations will be considered. Facilities Management certification is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of CMMS platforms and work order management systems, including preventive maintenance programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing building and grounds maintenance within industrial, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, fire and life safety systems, building management systems (BMS), dock levelers, and overhead doors.
  • Experience overseeing multiple vendors, contractors, and service providers while maintaining service quality and accountability.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, respond with urgency, and effectively solve operational challenges.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills, with the confidence to uphold service agreements and operational standards.
  • Experience managing budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with facility management and reporting tools such as IFM Hub, Power BI, Smartsheet, or similar systems.
  • Valid driver's license required.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $95,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $110,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
