    About the role

    The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of duties including daily maintenance and up-keep of the facilities equipment, building, supporting manufacturing operations and basic administration. Also performs PM’s, scheduled repairs and emergency repairs.

    Conduct daily rounds and process related readings on all equipment and record readings in Excel.

    • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and inspections of all facilities equipment Including air compressors, vacuum pumps, circulating pumps, chillers, air handling units, gas fired boilers, high purity water systems, exhaust fans and plumbing.
    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Identifies and remediates all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) issues as they arise. Comply with all company and state environmental policy for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
    • The ability to read and Understanding drawings, schematics and other electrical documentation is preferred.
    • Knowledge of a BMS and MMS is preferred
    • Work with process technicians to learn and support process equipment.
    • Ensure the availability of an adequate inventory of supplies to operate the facility. Specific duties include but are not limited to preparing and submitting purchase orders requests, developing sources for stock materials and performing periodic checks of inventory levels and equipment conditions.
    • Position could require responding to emergency call-ins as required or as directed by Facilities & Maintenance leadership to ensure proper facility operations.
    • Other additional duties as requested


    About you

    • A Massachusetts Wastewater Treatment Operators license is preferred or willing to successfully obtain the license within the first 12 months of employment.
    • Must be proficient in basic Microsoft software applications
    • Must have basic electrical knowledge.
    • Working knowledge of Building Management Systems and Maintenance Management Systems
    • Must have the ability to work from drawings, sketches and specifications
    • Must be able to troubleshoot a variety of electrical and pneumatic issues
    • Experience with motor control circuits and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) a plus. preferred
    • Must be familiar with OSHA safety regulations
    • Must have the ability to operate a forklift and scissor lift and willing to receive the proper training and licensing.
    • Will be required to take and pass a CPR/AED training and 8-Hour HAZMAT General Awareness within the first 12 months of employment
