Roush is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, office furniture assemblies and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) troubleshooting. The Facilities Maintenance Technician repairs, installs, and removes equipment at company facilities and will travel daily between company facilities on the assigned campus. This position is located in Livonia, MI.

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician II, you will:

  • Provide facilities maintenance support such as plumbing, carpentry, door hardware, office furniture assemblies, minor electrical, minor fabrication, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) troubleshooting
  • Provide solutions and operate independently on jobs that are assigned
  • Advise and research repair methods with team members
  • Enter work order comments and timecards

To be considered as a Facilities Maintenance Technician II, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent level of education
  • Minimum 3 years of general commercial / industrial facility maintenance experience or equivalent military experience
  • Able to solve practical problems and diagnose basic plumbing, electrical and equipment malfunctions (such as a compressed air systems or vehicle hoist)
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measurement, including fractions
  • Company pool vehicle may be available to travel between buildings, but at times, may need to use personal vehicle
  • Valid driver's with a good driving record and ability to pass our MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) standards
  • Skilled in the use of power and hand tools
    • Must have your own hand tools, a list will be provided upon hire
  • Basic computer skills and good communication skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to move and lift up to 75lbs.

A successful candidate may also have:

  • Experience in the use of a forklift and scissor lift
  • HVAC troubleshooting experience
  • Machine repair and troubleshooting experience
