The Fountain Group is currently seeking a --------Facilities Maintenance Technician I  for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in --Indianapolis , IN .  Details for the position are as follows:
 

Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician I (Entry-Level)
Location: Indianapolis , IN
Pay: $28.00/hr
Duration: 6-Month Contract

Job Description

  • Support facility and building maintenance activities, including lighting systems, drains, wall repairs, painting, caulking, fixture replacement, door adjustments, and minor plumbing repairs.
  • Assist with basic electrical maintenance and repairs under supervision.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities and routine inspections of plant utility systems.
  • Maintain maintenance records and documentation in accordance with GMP, SQF, and OSHA requirements.
  • Participate in safety training programs related to ammonia awareness, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and plant safety procedures.
  • Support the upkeep, appearance, and functionality of manufacturing facilities and exterior grounds.

Required Skills

  • Building and facility maintenance.
  • Preventive maintenance (PM) inspections.
  • Minor plumbing repair and fixture replacement.
  • Basic electrical maintenance and lighting system repairs.
  • Mechanical aptitude with interest in refrigeration systems.
  • Ability to read maintenance procedures, schematics, and technical instructions.
  • Knowledge of GMP, SQF, and OSHA compliance requirements.
  • Basic safety practices including LOTO, PPE, and hazard recognition.
  • Ability to obtain EPA 608 Universal Certification within 12 months.

Preferred Skills

  • 1–2 years of industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Basic HVAC knowledge or coursework.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Experience with maintenance documentation and work order systems
