Job Description
Hunting, Dearborn Division is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in Fryeburg, ME. The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs skilled maintenance, repair, adjustment, and minor construction work in the trades to ensure that facilities are properly maintained and meet Company standards. Duties may fall into a variety of trades, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, energy management/HVAC, fire and life safety and keys/security systems. This position is distinguished by the responsibility for a wide variety of non-routine assignments across multiple trades.
The Maintenance department at Hunting Dearborn repairs and maintains over 200 pieces of precision production equipment and the 150,000 square foot facility which houses it. This requires coordination amongst the Maintenance staff as well as outside contractors and consultants.

Responsibilities
Required Skills and Experience:
Education and Training
High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license for operation of a motor vehicle in Maine and possess an acceptable driving record.
Experience
Five years of facilities maintenance, construction, or repair experience in a commercial or industrial setting. Two years of education or training, or an associate degree in the facilities maintenance trades may substitute for two years of work experience.
Demonstrates a strong background in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and construction trades. Position incumbents provide input to management regarding the work, including participating in planning maintenance work, participating in project management tasks, and investigating and resolving unusual situations.
Power and hand tools used in facilities maintenance; recordkeeping techniques and regulations; OSHA workplace health and safety standards and procedures; use of personal computers to use recordkeeping tools, automated system controls, and email.
Communicates in an effective, clear, and organized manner in oral and written form. Follows expected guidelines regarding client and organizational communication, data sensitivity, and with appropriate regard to complexity.
Self-directed and resourceful with regard to individual and team problem solving. Initiates new processes or ideas and channels them appropriately to improve customer service within Company guidelines.
Promotes a positive work environment by developing and maintaining healthy internal and external relationships. Open to feedback and sensitive to others.
Maintains efficient work habits, including attendance, punctuality, safety, and appropriate use of resources.
