Facilities Maintenance Electrician

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of experience working with electrical systems.
Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and regulations.
Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment independently.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications

Valid Electrical Journeyman License.
3+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing or semiconductor environments.
Associate degree in Electrical Technology or a related field.
Additional electrical or industrial maintenance certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical components of facility equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities, including inspections and contractor coordination.
• Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) and NFPA 70E while adhering to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings.
• Perform feeder switching on redundant switchboards and execute safe switching procedures.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures and system alarms, restoring functionality and minimizing downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify abnormal operating conditions.
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and determine root causes using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair:
• Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear
• UPS systems
• Batteries and battery backup systems
• Distribution panels
• Circuit breakers
• Controllers and switches
• Motors, meters, relays, conduit, and transmission systems
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, calibrations, inspections, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with team members to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
