POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing hands-on building maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility support across Gulfside locations. This role ensures facilities remain safe, operational, and well-maintained through general repairs, troubleshooting, routine inspections, and coordination of maintenance needs.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general facility upkeep. Healthcare, medical facility, or multi-site maintenance experience is preferred.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years of building maintenance experience preferred, including:

Electrical:

  • Troubleshooting and completing minor electrical repairs
  • Installing, replacing, and repairing outlets, switches, ballasts, light fixtures, and related components
  • Performing preventative maintenance on lighting and electrical equipment
  • Responding to service requests while following safety standards

Plumbing:

  • Installing and replacing faucets, toilets, valves, and plumbing fixtures
  • Diagnosing and repairing leaks and plumbing issues
  • Clearing sinks, drains, and toilets using appropriate tools
  • Completing routine and emergency plumbing repairs

Carpentry / Drywall / Painting:

  • Repairing doors, frames, trim, cabinetry, and hardware
  • Installing, patching, repairing, and finishing drywall
  • Completing interior/exterior painting and touch-up work
  • Maintaining building appearance through general repairs

General Building Maintenance:

  • Completing preventative maintenance and routine facility inspections
  • Identifying and resolving building issues including leaks, damage, and repairs
  • Completing work orders timely and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Supporting facility improvement projects
  • Maintaining safe, clean, and compliant work environments

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and materials
  • Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and workspace reconfigurations
  • Support facility safety inspections and emergency preparedness activities
  • Assist with organization events, including setup and breakdown of equipment and supplies
  • Travel between Gulfside locations as needed

SCHEDULE:
Full-Time, Tuesday-Saturday, generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility based on organizational needs.

This position is based out of the main office with travel required between facilities. Reliable transportation is required.
