Job Summary Micron Technology seeks a Facilities Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support operations at our state‑of‑the‑art semiconductor fabrication facility in Boise, Idaho. The role requires a high‑energy, detail‑oriented professional with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety and excellence.Responsibilities Operate and maintain instrumentation and control systems for facilities performance monitoring.Perform calibration and maintenance of instrumentation, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and NFPA 70E standards.Interpret P&ID drawings and one‑line diagrams to troubleshoot system faults and alarms.Conduct preventive maintenance on complex facility equipment.Monitor and respond to system alarms and abnormal conditions, promptly addressing failures to restore equipment functionality.Collaborate with team members to resolve equipment issues and improve system reliability.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, testing, and calibrations.Minimum Requirements 1–3 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and controls.Ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts (3 days on/4 days off, then 4 days on/3 days off), alternating between day and night shifts every 4 months.Preferred Requirements Valid Electrical Journeyman License.3+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation and controls, preferably in a semiconductor or high‑tech manufacturing environment.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.Benefits Micron offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision plans, income protection, paid family leave, a robust paid time‑off program, and paid holidays.
