Directs, coordinates and facilitates multiple engineering activities to enhance the company's maintenance processes. The Facilities Engineer III is responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of machinery and equipment by implementing predictive and preventative measures to minimize downtime. The Facilities Engineer III acts as a bridge between technicians and management, utilizing engineering principles to reduce costs.Key ResponsibilitiesManages, coordinates and facilitates multiple engineering and process improvement initiatives related to enhancement of the maintenance systems and processes.Provides strategic, expert advice and consultation on the design and implementation of effective business processes to include process analysis, design, engineering, and organization efforts including planning and executing facility expansions and upgradesCollaborate with other departments and stakeholders to support and enhance company goals and objectives.Participates in the establishment, organization, and implementation of short and long range goals, objective, policies, and operation procedures; monitors and evaluates program effectiveness and effects changes required for improvement.Develops integrated project plans, implementation schedules, and cost estimates for major projects; Ensures projects are completed on time and within budgetMaintains accurate records and documents all maintenance activities including, repair logs, parts used, time spent and equipment performance metricsCommunicates regularly with senior management and administration regarding the status of current project initiatives; obtains management guidance and approval as required to advance initiatives.Identify, design and execute plans to ensure the efficient and reliable operations of equipment and machinery; this involves developing strategies for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipmentAnalyze equipment performance data to improve reliability, increase production output, and enhance safetyEnsure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standardsPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field;Experience: minimum 5-7 years' experience as a maintenance engineer or similar roleAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulationsStrong understanding of engineering principles and applicationStrong analytical skills to interpret technical documentation or schematics and use analytical tools and techniques to improve equipment reliability and performanceSkilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities, knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools;Advanced verbal and written communication skillsAbility to analyze comprehensive business processes, perform in depth work analyses, and develop computer generated flow chartsAbility to analyze complex problems, interpret operation needs, and develop integrated, creative solutionsAbility to develop project budgets and projections, group facilitation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills,Skilled in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.Understanding of the Lean Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing conceptsCAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), Modelling (Geomagic Studio), SPC and SPC software such as Synergy, Minitab)Familiar with ladder logic and CNC codeMicrosoft Office SuiteGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Cost estimatingOther RequirementsTravel: Less than 25%Work Environment: Manufacturing sites, and office work environmentBackground Investigation / Drug Screen: Required.Equal Opportunity EmployerPaligen Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer, placing value on a diverse and inclusive environment.
