A growing advanced manufacturing facility is seeking a Facilities Engineer to support plant operations, process utilities, chemical systems, and infrastructure reliability in a high-volume production environment.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, solving operational challenges, leading facility improvement projects, and working closely with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Support facility and process utility systems to maintain safe and efficient plant operations
- Troubleshoot mechanical, chemical, and process-related equipment issues
- Lead facility improvement projects from planning through execution
- Support maintenance, reliability, and infrastructure initiatives
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, EHS, and outside contractors to resolve operational challenges
- Assist with process safety, environmental compliance, and management of change activities
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, system reliability, and operational efficiency
- Provide occasional off-hours support for critical facility or production issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- 6-10 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting chemical processes, process utilities, wastewater systems, hazardous materials handling, or similar plant infrastructure
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working directly within an operating manufacturing facility
- Familiarity with process safety programs, MOC, hazardous waste management, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and drive results
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams
