Job Summary:

Oversees facility and plant maintenance project timelines, deliverables, infrastructure upgrades, and coordination of maintenance teams, engineering staff, and contractors. Manages and executes work plans for capital improvement projects, equipment installations, system replacements and preventive maintenance initiatives. Ensures the sustainability, reliability, and regulatory compliance of hospital facilities and plant operations. Administers projects according to approved plans, specifications, and scopes of work in accordance with healthcare facility regulatory requirements. Managers large facility programs with substantial budget/impact. Acts as a liaison between all stakeholders; including clinical departments, safety officers, and external authorities. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgement.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate''s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Bachelor''s Degree: Preferred
  • Five years'' relevant experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification: Preferred
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP): Preferred
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM): Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees responsibilities for plant maintenance and facilities projects being coordinated. Creates and maintains project infrastructure, documentation, and the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) records. Maintains databases, asset inventories, and compliance reports as appropriate.
  • Ensures project schedules, status reports, preventives maintenance plans, and other project artifacts for facility systems are maintained accurately and kept current, using project management tools and CMMS software.
  • Maintains required permits, plans, specifications, operations and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and related documents for all facility systems. Directs and manages outside contract vendors, contractors, and suppliers in support or project activities, including bidding, scope review and performance oversight.
  • Conducts project and team meetings and appropriately tracks action items, risks, safety issues, and decisions. Maintains project budgets and schedules for capital and maintenance initiatives. Monitors and prioritizes workload to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met, while minimizing disruption to patient care areas.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
