Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individuals relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Job Responsibilities:

• Must have a basic understanding of maritime operation.
• Proficiency in paralleling the generators and operation of Emergency Generator.
• Proficiency in operation and use of lifesaving equipment on board the vessel.
• Must be able to handle stressful situations where efficiency and time are of urgency.
• Must have the ability to operate and utilize mooring winches.
• Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
• Assists in building interface or accessory equipment as needed.
• Responds to guest requests for maintenance assistance in order to provide courteous, timely, and expert service.
• Performs basic electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, and cables.
• Performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; replaces washers and other minor parts.
• Keeps workshop orderly by cleaning toolboxes, putting away tools and parts, and straightening electrical storage area.
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum two (2) years of facilities maintenance experience in hospitality or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English. Must have working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and/or finishing trades. Knowledge of paint mixing techniques and airless spraying equipment strongly preferred. Must have knowledge of materials and installation techniques related to carpet, carpet tiles, stone flooring materials, and hardwood floors. Must be skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Must have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. Ability to safely and properly use all equipment associated with the position. Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues. Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work areas.

CSO certification is a mandatory requirement for this position and the cost will be fully covered by Ameristar.
